The disruptor of biofilm and the status quo!

Hey There,
I'M MICHELLE
With over two decades of experience, Michelle Strange, MSDH, RDH, has built a career defined by both early adoption of evidence-based dentistry and a deep-seated passion for patient care. Starting as a dental assistant, she cultivated her skills and later earned an Associate's in Science and Dental Hygiene, a Bachelor's in Health Science from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master's in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Bridgeport. Her career has been a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning and her desire to elevate the
dental profession.
For years, Michelle was the co-founder and driving force behind the popular podcast A Tale of Two Hygienists, using her platform to share up-to-date knowledge and practical applications with her colleagues. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found two separate companies. Through MichelleStrangeRDH, LLC, she speaks at events around the country, writes for journals, guests on podcasts, and creates video content and consults for dental companies, all aimed at sharing her knowledge and elevating her colleagues. In 2020, she also launched Level Up Infection Prevention, a company dedicated to providing vital resources to help dental teams achieve clinical excellence and ensure patient safety by mastering
infection prevention.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a profound change in Michelle's life. In 2021, seeking a new adventure, she made a daring decision: she sold her home, donated her furniture, packed her remaining belongings into a 12-foot trailer, and began a three-year nomadic journey as "The Roaming Dental Hygienist". This experience offered her a unique perspective, reinforcing her commitment to adaptable and patient-focused care while bridging gaps in access to dental services in communities coast to coast.
In 2024, Strange's journey led her to Colorado, where she decided to settle down. In 2025, she took her entrepreneurial spirit to the next level by acquiring Smile Logic, a dental hygiene practice in Broomfield. There, she now applies her philosophy of compassionate, trauma-informed care and prevention-forward, minimally invasive dentistry. She listens to her patients, tailors treatment plans to their individual goals, and ensures every visit is as safe and transparent as possible.
Today, Michelle continues to share her wealth of experience through the Level Up Infection Prevention Podcast and her video podcast, A Strange Curiosity, for Inside Dental Hygiene. From her new home base in Colorado, she continues to inspire dental professionals and advance the field through a unique blend of education, innovation, and a steadfast dedication to
her patients.
